Carbine H2 Buffer Weight - 4.6oz.

This USA H2 carbine buffer weight is designed to help reduce felt recoil with carbine and mid-length gas systems. The heavier weight can also help to reliably feed ammunition. This buffer weight is only for use in carbine length buffer tubes.  The weights are supposed to be free floating inside of the buffer by design to help with recoil mitigation. If you want to fine tune the recoil of your carbine, the H2 buffer weight will do the trick.

While the H2 is the most commonly used buffer weight when upgrading, heavier buffers can have a negative effect on reliability if it is too heavy for your gas system to properly operate. However, most factory AR-15s are over-gassed and shouldn’t be a problem.
